Description

Metal Weld is an isocyanate-free, two-component methacrylate adhesive, specifically developed for structural bonding of most metals as well as a wide range of composite materials.

Metal Weld is particularly well-suited for creating strong and durable bonds on different (metal) surfaces, such as steel and aluminum. It also delivers outstanding adhesion on numerous composite materials, achieving extremely high shear strength after curing – and all this without the need for a primer.

The adhesive is highly resistant to UV radiation, chemicals, and weathering effects, ensuring long-lasting durability and color stability. With a working time of 8–10 minutes, Metal Weld allows precise alignment of parts before curing begins. Thanks to its thixotropic consistency, the product remains stable on vertical surfaces and is also ideal for filling gaps.

Metal Weld is exceptionally user-friendly and allows for highly accurate dosing, thanks to its practical dual-cartridge system with static mixing nozzle and applicator gun. The specially designed mixing nozzle ensures the correct ratio at all times. After use, simply remove the nozzle and reseal the cartridge by replacing the cap in its original position.

  • Excellent adhesion

  • Available in white and black with long-lasting color stability

  • Outstanding UV and chemical resistance

  • Strong temperature resistance

  • Can be applied without primer

  • Practical dual-cartridge system with mixing nozzle for easy and precise dosing

Surface Preparation

  • The surface must be clean, dry, and free from grease.

  • Clean surfaces with Innotec Multisol.

  • Metal Weld can be applied without the use of a primer.

Tip: It is recommended to lightly sand the bonding areas with non-oxidizing abrasives for optimal adhesion.

Application Method

  1. Ensure all necessary tools are ready before starting the bonding process.

  2. Attach the mixing nozzle to the dual cartridge.

  3. When using a new cartridge, always extrude and discard the first 2 cm of product to ensure perfect component mixing.

  4. Apply the adhesive to the bonding surfaces and spread it into a thin, even layer using a spatula.

  5. Join the parts and secure them with clamps.

  6. Remove any excess adhesive immediately with a spatula.

Recommended Clamping Time

  • At least 2 hours at 20°C.

  • After removing the clamps, the repair can be completed.

After Use

  • Remove the mixing nozzle.

  • Reseal the cartridge by placing the cap back in its original position.
